BUR Media Group evolved from the East West Creative Association (“EWCA”), which was established in 1988 and emerged as the first cultural joint venture between the Soviet Union and the UK.

BUR Media Group is now the parent and co-owner of a number of media- based Russian companies. These include:

Cascade Film, which represents Buena Vista and Sony Pictures as their theatrical distributor in Russia.

BFC Media, which built owns and operates Moscow’s first IMAX, the Nescafe IMAX, together with a miniplex of four 35mm cinema halls.
